A MYSTERIOUS heavy box encased in rubber on a South Devon beach has been identified as dangerous palm oil which can be fatal to dogs. Coastguards were called to Beesands on Sunday lunchtime (April 18) after the strange object was washed up.

Flooding is possible for exposed east facing coastal locations including Hallsands, Beesands, Torcross, Slapton, Blackpool Sands, Brixham, Broadsands, Goodrington, Paignton, Hollicombe, Torquay, Oddicombe, Teignmouth Promenade and Dawlish.
