Prizes on offer include tea for two at Beckworth Emporium and a family ticket to a Santa Pod Event. The Raunds Mayor's Show kicks off at midday on Sunday, May 1, and the show runs until 6pm at Bassfords recreation ground in Marshalls Road, Raunds.

And the mayor's special award of recognition went to David Thoday in honour of his dedication and service over the years to Raunds. He has served on the district council, Raunds Town Council and was a school governor for more than 40 years.

A local employee from the Raunds McDonald's on London Road has been highly commended at the company's UK-wide Planet Champion Award in recognition of the positive impact they have made on the environment and to their local community.
