'Christmas' geese follow river to freedom
At Christmas time, geese are meant to be 'a-laying' – six of them, according to the 'Twelve Days of Christmas' – but five geese in Ronague chose escaping. The geese, who were destined for the dinner plate in the festive period, went AWOL in October.
