A fort near Newquay was one the court of King Arthur, new evidence has revealed. The legendary king, whose fabled castle, Camelot, is said to have stood at Tintagel, even tamed a dragon at the site, at Trevelgue, a historian and academic has claimed.

TWO sites of archaeological importance off the Newquay coast are to be recorded and preserved after they were damaged by erosion. The works at Trevelgue headland will take place in September after last winter's powerful storms caused landslips.
