Serious collision near Thirsk - witnesses urged to call 101
It occurred on Sandy Lane, Islebeck - near the junction with Moor End Lane - at about 5.45pm (Thursday 2 May 2013). Local diversions have been put in place while firefighters make both vehicles safe and paramedics tend to the injured male rider.
Warning following spate of burglaries in Thirsk
The burglaries took place in Islebeck, Hambleton Place, Sutton Court and two in Ingramgate, the majority are believed to have occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning with the first report received just after midnight and another at around 1.15am.
